Come on … look at the states that sold out (Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah, and Washington). Notice that the states that did sell out aren’t in the major centers of population. And I highly doubt Rhode Island got as many phones as California.
Granted (if true) 700,000 phones in its first week isn’t bad. But I don’t think they hit that… I think they’re estimating WAY high. If they sold out NY / CAL / TEX / FLO / MASS then it would be more impressive (and then its potentially believable they could have hit the 700,00 mark).

How many of those phones are now on eBay?
