FN: Dammit, we have to memorize a new song? Crazy places are well... crazy.
South Korea Deploys Warship as North Readies Missiles (Update1): "Jockeying over who will succeed North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, who likely suffered a stroke last August, may be related to the nuclear weapon test and missile launches, former and current U.S. officials have said.
Kim has named his third son Kim Jong Un as his heir, the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper said, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation. North Korea notified its diplomatic offices and is teaching its people a song in praise of the anointed leader, the daily said."

Kim is throwing a tantrum because BB is printing faster than Kim (more presses) and Kims' stash of newly minted Benjamins' are becoming worth less by the hour. His plan is to train the ICBM about to be tested on Bens' presses to slow the devaluation of his investment. NK actions appear to be irrational, but Kim spent large on the technology and expected a good return.....
Newsflash: North Korea is irrelevant and meaningless. It's just a sideshow to keep the ignorant masses fearful and preoccupied.
Yes Ben,
I think you are attributing too much importance to the NK situation.
(Now watch a nuclear war start in Asia Pacific... LOL)
Newsflash: North Korea is irrelevant and meaningless.Yeah - But:
If Kim-Jong-Il decides to drop a "bucket o sunshine" on something volatile and fragile, like for example, Pakistan or maybe Saudi then all the western plans about pipeline-stan and unlimited oil sucked from under the nose of China goes tits-up.
Oh my Papa, to me he was so woderful. Or "Patches, I'm depending on you son".
Third son?
And what do sons #1 & #2 think of this?
Weird how the hardest of Marxist hard-line states always appear to produce hereditary monarchies (in all but name only) as their outcome...I guess despotism is despotism, no matter how it's justified: by Marxist rhetoric, or by the doctrine of the divine right to rule, based on birth, property, or merit (or upon any and all combos of these).
I find this official page a good source of involuntary humour:

I'm not really concerned about war. That seems a remote possibility. I'm more interested in the sudden collapse of North Korea.
When East Germany was absorbed by West Germany it was very disruptive and expensive. I don't think South Korea would be well positioned right now to deal with that kind of economic mess right now...
